Four Time Ski/Snowboard Group Details

Thank you for choosing The Rock Snowpark this season! We are excited to share our love of skiing and snowboarding with your group.  Please read through the information and policies below. It is your responsibility to communicate and share our policies with your child.

Please contact your group coordinator, with any questions.

Learning to ski or snowboard:

  • Our 4-time groups are a great, affordable way to introduce students the basics of skiing/snowboarding.
  • Students must be at least 7 years old to participate in group lessons.
  • Please keep in mind this is group learning.
  • All students learn differently, so a private lesson may be a better fit. If a student is struggling, please contact us so we can find the right fit for your student.
  • We want students to love this sport as much as we do; providing them with a great experience is important to us.
  • If your student chooses not to attend, no credit or makeup will be provided.
  • Students should be dressed, geared up, and at the beginner hill by learning time, in order to have time to practice.
  • Beginner instruction takes place in zone-based group instructions that will take place on our beginner hill and it is the student's responsibility to report to the learning zone.
  • Parents are welcome to watch lessons but must remain off the hill and within the designated viewing area.
  • Beginners should plan for 50-70 minutes of practice time in the learning zones.
  • Terrain Based Learning will introduce you to the hill, teach equipment knowledge/safety & basic beginner skills. All group participants get free instruction, but plan to spend time practicing especially if this is your first time skiing/snowboarding or you have skied/snowboarded before but you are not ready to load a chairlift.
  • Goal: To confidently ski/snowboard down our beginner terrain learning to turn, stop, control speed and enjoy skiing/snowboarding.
  • Success: your child(ren) have fun and want to go again.

What to wear

  • You or your child will be participating in an outdoor, physical activity. Dress in layers. Layering allows you to accommodate your body's constantly changing temperature. Wear multiple layers that can be removed if you are too warm. Remember, you will be doing a physical activity and your body will generate heat. While the last thing you want is to be cold, many first-timers overdress.
  • For more information, visit https://www.rocksnowpark.com/safety
  • If you are reserving rentals you will get these in the rental shop the evening of  your reservation. The ski/snowboard package will come with the necessary boots and equipment for learning (you won't use poles when learning).
  • A ski/snowboard helmet is not required but is strongly encouraged, and is included in the rental package.
  • Goggles are not included as part of the equipment rental.  Ski/ SB Goggles can be purchased from the gift shop.

 Communication

  • Please direct all group questions to your group coordinator.
  • If the group leader is unable to provide you with an answer, please have them contact us  and we would be happy to help.

Weather

The Rock Snowpark will update any hill closings due to weather conditions by noon. All closings will be posted on The Snowpark website and communicated to your group leader. Please keep in mind we are a winter seasonal sport.

 Refunds & Cancellations

  • All group payments are enrollments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • The Rock Snowpark does not provide a make-up session or credit if the student has other conflicts and can't attend.
  • In the event that a student must drop out of the group program due to medical reasons, a doctor's note must be provided to the group leader. In return, the student will receive a Rock Snowpark gift card, which does not expire.
  • The Rock Snowpark will not provide a cash or check refund for students withdrawing from the program.

Bags & Personal Belongings

  • Bags must be stored in cubbies or lockers located in our rental area.
  • No bags may be left in the cafe.
  • We recommend all bags and equipment be labeled with your student's name and phone number. This helps us contact you if left behind.
  • The Rock Snowpark is not responsible for any personal belongings or gear that is left behind.

Each group member will receive a Loyalty Savings Card which will provide discounted lift tickets and rentals for the remainder of the season.
