WHAT'S A SNOW DOME?

Crystal Ridge Snow Domes are beautiful poly carbonate geodesic domes,  resembling a glass bubble.   The benches can seat 12 around a snack table.

There are 2 domes (yellow and blue) located near the top of our Snow Tubing hill.  The Snow Domes are a totally excellent place to party with a small crowd.

WHAT'S A YURT?

A Yurt is a round dome shaped tent.  At Crystal Ridge, ours is heated with a mesmerizing pellet stove. The Yurt is brick-red in color and is located steps away from the top of our Snow Tubing hill. The Yurt is a delightful space to host a party. Featuring large tables and 24 chairs, plus benches and standing room for up to 35 and more. Guests will be gushing about the yurt for days.

• When booking the party please enter the name of the celebration or group.   
  • Party/ group name: is used to identify the reserved spot where your guests can meet you for your reservation.
• For Ease at Party check out click sign waivers later
• The base package includes snow tubing tickets (8 tickets for the domes/ 12 snow tubing tickets in the Yurt). 
  • Additional discounted tickets can be added on at booking $29 each on weekends and holidays (otherwise tubing tickets are $35 each).
    • If you know you need extra tickets, it is advised to reserve at booking. 
    • Tubing tickets are limited and tickets day-of may be sold out. Reserve accordingly.
• When booking a party reservation, it is possible to add on food. 
  • A party favorite is adding on the Hot Cocoa option:  Cocoa is $30. Cocoa comes in an insulated dispenser and includes 12 cups for your group.
  • Party food favorites from the Cafe like: Pizza, chicken tenders or drinks are available to pre-order for your party. 
  • If you select food or drinks it will be delivered to the party about 50 minutes after your start time. 
  • If food is not ordered at booking an adult from the party should visit the cafe to purchase food and bring over to the party space.  
    • There is a full bar in the lodge. 21+ may purchase drinks at the bar and carry back into the party space. 

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

• Most of the 2 hour party is outside, in the snow.  Please come dressed in clothes for snow outside: including a hat, gloves, great pair of socks, snow boots and a few layers of clothing that you can adjust to your own individual comfort level. We make snow, but it is still snow!
• With a party reservation, your guests will be out of the elements when taking a break.
  • The yurt space is outfitted with a pellet stove. ------Do not touch the pellet stove. -Seriously. - It has a safety switch that turns OFF if opened, or adjusted. If you need to adjust the heat please ASK Crystal Ridge Staff. Also, it's hot.
  • The Domes are heated with a combination of solar and electric.
    • Again, please ask for assistance when adjusting the heaters.
    • The sun helps heat the domes.  As the sun sets, the domes are not as tropical at night time.
    • Though it is still warmer than outside you'll likely want to keep your jacket on in the dome when it is dark out.

CAN I BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS TO THE PARTY: DOME OR YURT?

• Yes! You are welcome to bring in your own outside cookies, cupcakes or birthday treats and light party snacks!
• Bringing bottled water is also super ok.
• The party space is reserved for your group during your tubing & party time. Guests can swing back into the party space to sing Happy Birthday, have a cup of cocoa or quick snack and then snow tube a bit more.
• A few steps away, there’s a full bar. Just walk down the sidewalk, enter the closest lodge door, and buy a drink. You can even purchase beverages from the window on the patio near snow tubing. 
  • You are welcome to bring bar drinks back over to enjoy in the party space.
  • Bringing in alcohol to the premises is strictly against WI Liquor Licensing, and could result in a fine.  Sneaking in alcohol makes your group subject to confiscation of the alcohol and having to leave before your reservation end time.
• If you do not purchase food at booking an adult from the party will need to purchase food from cafe and bring it to the party space so the food is able to be enjoyed before the party end time.   

TICKETS & WAIVERS

• After check-out:  email confirmation contains link to complete waivers 
• Link can be forwarded to other participants for waiver completion.  Please forward the link in the email to other participants to complete their waivers before arrival. 
• Each person snow tubing needs a ticket and a waiver filled out before tickets can be issued.
• If an adult is just watching or waiting in the yurt or lodge during the party, they do not need a snow tubing ticket.
• There is not a refund for unused tickets.
• It's recommeded that waivers are completed BEFORE showing up on your selected date.

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE FOR OUR PARTY RESERVATION?

We ask that the host arrive 20 minutes early to park and check-in at the ticket window prior to your reservation time. You will be able to get the tickets with completed waivers. You will not be able to access the party room more than 15 minutes before the rental time. If you or your party shows up late for your reservation, we unfortunately cannot extend the length of your rental. At the end of your reservation it is likely another group is coming next, so please depart the party space swiftly.

The tickets and reserved dome space are for 2 hours total.   With a 10  minute arrival/departure window on each end.

The Yurt space is reserved for your group for 2.5 hours.

CAN WE DECORATE?

Some small decorations are allowed to add to the fun. What you can carry in and set up quickly is most ideal. No tape is allowed on the surfaces. If you'd like to bring themed plates, napkins or cups, you're welcome to as ours that come with the food order are basic. Groups sometimes bring a large bag or wagon to transport their items from the car over to the space. 

• Dome Specifics: your best bet is a table cloth (the coffee/snack table is 42 inches round, but only 16 inches off the ground), themed plates, napkins or cups, and a small centerpiece or small balloon boquet. The snow domes do not have hooks from the celings, so hanging banners do not work in the domes.
• The Yurt: has a bit more space, and 4 long rectangular tables.  Your best bet is a table cloth (the rectangular tables are 96 inches long by 42 inches wide), themed plates, napkins or cups, and a centerpiece or large balloon boquet. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE’RE MESSY!?

Please dispose of garbage in the provided trash cans. The party space is inspected and cleaned after every party.   If excessive cleaning is required, you will be charged a cleaning fee.  Though unlikely, should any evidence of damage be found after your visit, a fee will be charged. 

IS SMOKING OR VAPING ALLOWED?

Absolutely not. It is prohibited by Wisconsin law. Any guest found smoking or vaping will be asked to leave immediately with no refund granted. Open flames, also not allowed.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Unfortunately, no.
